Robin Bienenstock, PT, DPT
Robin earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Special Education at the University of Vermont in Burlington, VT in 2008. She earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Vermont in 2012. Robin has worked in a variety of settings including inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient pediatrics, early intervention, skilled nursing, and acute care. She currently travels to schools and works in the Arizona Early Intervention Program. In her spare time Robin enjoys hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, and baking. |
Claudia Carvajal, PTA
Claudia attended Mohave Community College in Kingman, AZ where she received an Associates of Applied Science in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program in 2017. She has worked with Senior Citizens for over five years with focuses on exercise, overall mobility and conditioning, gait training, transfers, and use of assistive devices. She has prior experience in working in preschool as a teacher’s aide. Claudia is bilingual. She loves working with kids and families at NRTA and works with clients in both home, clinic, and community-based settings. |

Alaitia Fox, PT, DPT Alaitia earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from The University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She earned her Doctor of Physical therapy from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ. Alaitia has worked in outpatient clinics, in-patient facilities, and now works with children and young adults in school, home and clinic-based settings. She has experience in assisting a team to help develop physical activity intervention for Navajo Cancer survivors. |
Justin Hu, PT, DPT
Justin earned a Bachelor of Science Exercise Science from Northern Arizona University in 2018. He earned Minors in both Chemistry and Psychology. He earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University in 2021. Justin started working at NRTA in April, 2022. Justin has experience working with people of all ages and backgrounds. He especially loves working with families and kids. Justin travels to schools and does some clinic and home-based therapy and works with the Arizona Early Intervention program. He enjoys helping people work towards their goals.
Lauryn Maxwell, PT, DPT Lauryn earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ. Lauryn loves working with kiddos 0-3 years old as part of the Arizona Early Intervention Program (AzEIP) as well as school age kiddos. She is passionate about empowering families with knowledge to better understand how to help their little ones achieve their goals. In her spare time, Lauryn enjoys hiking, dancing, writing, working out, and spending time with her husband and their puppy. |
Alissa Jones, PT Alissa earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. She has additional training in EMT, and in basic and conversational American Sign Language. Alissa has continued her education in feeding, the MOVE program (mobility opportunities via education), Reiki, Positive Behavioral Support, and Autism conferences. She specializes in pediatric physical therapy. Alissa currently serves the Page area and the Northern half of the Navajo Nation. |
Julie Stone, PT, DPT Julie received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of Tennessee. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina. She then earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of South Carolina. Julie has practiced in a variety of forums, including working with children and senior citizens. She has also worked with Core Balance and a variety of rehab centers. Julie loves and cares for horses and has run equine therapy groups. In her spare time she loves spending time with her family and golden retriever. Carrie Schuessler, PT
Carrie earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1997. She went on to earn a Master of Physical Therapy from Western Carolina University in 2001. Carrie has been practicing Physical Therapy in Flagstaff since 2001. She specializes in myofascial release. She has many years of experience in early intervention. Carrie loves traveling and working with diverse populations in Northern Arizona. In her spare time, she enjoys running, triathlons, playing piano and being outdoors with her husband and her two children. |
